Global Crossing, Rochester New York

Senior Oracle Engineer / Systems Analyst Jan, 2001 - May, 2002

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining global Oracle ISO database solutions for TMN - Clarify (Oracle 8.0.6), Data Warehouse (Oracle 8.1.7), and the MapInfo Spatial Database (Oracle 8.1.7). The Clarify Solution was based on a Sun Cluster version 2.2 and Oracle 8.0.6 with a true global 24x7 reporting database solution via Shareplex. The reporting database was implemented via SharePlex 3.2.12.x database replication. I created the Over-Drive® http://systms.com/over_drive.htm scripts to sync the instances up after a schema change to Production or to create the QA environment. In addition used OverDrive® to re-org Database instances, and create new targets over WAN for enhanced data protection. Created duplicate Shareplex environment within the QA cluster for prod testing. The Data Warehouse instance was an Oracle 8.1.7 Database on one Tera Byte of storage utilizing the Informatica solution. The MapInfo database was running Oracle’s spatial module storing detailed map layers into the database to create detailed maps for creating Fiber Networks. All solutions were managed via my RMAS® http://systms.com/rms_services.htm solution, and backup and recovery was made possible via RMAN, and Overdrive. I provided performance and tuning of system, Oracle and SQL parameters for maximum system and database performance.
